The Wayland line is truly transitional integrating nicely with both modern and traditional interiors, the Wayland Sack-Back adds a restrained elegance to any grouping of seating and pairs well with the Wayland Bowback Side Chair. “Sackback” describes a Windsor chair with an arm rail pierced by back spindles which are fixed to a steam-bent bow. This style demands the highest levels of craft, as much of the drilling and fitting for the spindles is done completely by hand, as are the carved hand pads and saddle seat.
